Get Involved
Monitoring water quality at your local waterway can be tailored to suit your availability. Equipment is simple to use, and regular training and support is provided.
Volunteer monitors:
- Participate in a full day training session
- Work with their local Healthy Waterways Waterwatch Coordinator to construct a monitoring plan and select monitoring sites
- Are accompanied by the Healthy Waterways Waterwatch Coordinator on the first two monitoring sessions and helped to review the data at six or twelve monthly intervals
- Undergo an annual data Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) check
- Forward data to Healthy Waterways Waterwatch
