Waterwatch Coordinators have many engaging hands-on sessions and activities suitable for the classroom and will work with teachers to formulate the best possible Waterwatch program or experience for their students. Activities can be delivered as a program of sessions to build students knowledge of waterways, animals and habitats, pollution types, and their own impacts on the environment.
Programs offer various activities including Waterbug Discovery, Water Quality Testing, Habitat Assessments, Frog Activities, Creeky Creatures Art Activity. Programs focus on local environments and can include visits to the local river, creek or wetland.
Interested teachers should contact the Waterwatch Merri and Moonee Ponds Coordinator.
